Here you can see the legendary sooth as silk Eizo greyscale rendering (in 10 bit) - as compared to the coloured, banded mess on the right. (Well you would if I hasn't shot this as ISO 640 which has kind of dithered it all together rather...)

Indeed, Eizo maybe went too far - the 'bad' panels looked like they had been rescued from a dumpster 10 years ago. I would have preferred to see e.g. a current Dell model for comparison.
